How did it all start?

The dream of the Breathing Concerts began in Eastern Europe in 2023, where Adrian lives. After a trial concert right here in Berlin, multiple sold-out tours across the Netherlands, and a beautiful collaboration with Ekaterina Shelehova, here we are. A dream that has become reality.

Do I really have to breathe?

I would love for you to try it and experience it! But no, you are absolutely welcome to simply enjoy the music and the energy of the space. You don't have to breathe on the rhythm of my music. Give it a chance, you can always return to your own natural rhythm.

Do I need breathwork experience?

It is for everyone! Whether you have zero experience, you are an expert, or somewhere in between. :) I always say that everyone is already an expert, you have been breathing since the day you were born, right? 😉 Come alone, with friends, your yoga group, or your breathwork circle. See you there!

Why come together?

Since the beginning of time, cultures all over the world have shown that gathering together is essential for mental and physical wellbeing. These gatherings created a space where everyone felt held and supported by the community around them. In our increasingly digital world, the Breathing Concerts invite us to rediscover the power of togetherness, to feel what it means to breathe in unison with love. To be carried by it, and also to awaken your own inner forces. Your breath. Your voice.

In which language?

The language of the heart, of course 😁... and the music speaks for itself. When I speak, it will be in Basic Adrianish English, so that our beautiful mix of Berliners, Germans, and international guests from across Europe can all follow along 👍

Music in 432 Hz?

Yes! The music is tuned to 432 Hz and specially composed with rhythms that align with breathwork techniques. That way everyone can breathe together and let the magic happen.

For those who don't know Adrian:

Adrian Kuipers is a composer, musician, filmmaker with hobbit-feet, and a lover of nature. After discovering the power of the breath, Adrian began composing special music for breathwork, and what grew from that is the Breathwork Music App and the Breathing Concerts. This concept did not exist anywhere in the world before 2023, and in this form it still doesn't exist anywhere else. Adrian shares the magic of this powerful combination of medicines with the world.

The Band:

These two magical musicians are joining us: Benji & Jesse from De Meemakers. Two beautiful spirits with the same mission and the same frequency.

For those who don't know Anna-Maria Hefele:

Anna-Maria Hefele is an overtone vocalist whose voice your mind simply cannot explain. She sings multiple notes at the same time, creating harmonics that bypass rational thought completely and land somewhere much deeper. Her music comes from a place beyond technique, from pure resonance. Hearing her live in a sacred space is one of those experiences you don't forget. Something in you shifts. We are deeply moved to share this journey with her.

Program & breathing techniques:

This is a complete journey, a flight from take-off to landing. We guide you with your breath and our live music. You can breathe along or simply close your eyes and receive the frequencies as a concert. We play and improvise on what the moment asks for. One great breath journey.

The journey has two movements. First we spiral inward, into stillness, into the quiet beneath the noise of everyday life, into a remembrance of who you truly are at the core. Then, from that still centre, we spiral outward collectively, hundreds of hearts beating as one, sending pure love through the breath and through pure intention, through the church tower, into the world, to the places that need it most.

Along the way, we move through four breathwork techniques, each one opening a different door:

Heart Breathing, to arrive fully in the heart and feel the emotions that live there. Into the stillness, the warmth, and the quiet power of your own centre.

Slow-down Breathing, to soften the nervous system and let go of everything the day has carried.

Wind Breathing, to build energy, to awaken the body from the inside out, and to feel the collective power of hundreds of people moving as one.

Love Breathing, Adrian's favourite, to generate loving energy for every cell in the body, and then to send it outward, through the breath, through the church tower, into the world. To the places that need it most. This is the moment the room becomes electric.

Carry the journey home with you:

The music you breathe to during the concert was composed by Adrian specifically for breathwork. All of it, and much more, lives inside the Breathwork Music App, founded by Adrian. After the concert, you can return to the same frequencies, the same depth, from wherever you are in the world. Breathe at home, in nature, on a morning that needs something more. The app is your companion for the journey that continues after the doors of the Passionskirche close.

There is a good chance that people around you will be in a meditative state 😊. So if you want to bring your children, please consider whether they can stay quietly, so that everyone can remain deep in the experience. 😘

Seating, what to wear, what to bring:

To make room for as many beautiful people as possible, this is a seated concert with chairs and church pews. Bring clothing in layers so you can adjust to the temperature. Bring a bottle of good, structured water 😊, it will be energised during the concert. There are no fixed seats, you can choose your spot when the doors open.

Your ticket and access:

Because many people will be coming, there may be a short queue outside the church. To keep things moving, please have your ticket ready on your phone or printed. We ask for love and patience with each other. We've got this!

Important safety notice:

Breathwork can bring about intense physical and emotional experiences. Please consult your doctor if you have cardiovascular conditions, epilepsy, glaucoma, a recent operation, severe psychiatric conditions, or if you are pregnant. I always say, listen to your body. You always have the choice to sit out a round or simply breathe at your own pace. By participating, you take full responsibility for your own wellbeing.

Recordings:

During the concert, recordings will be made. The material may be used for a video, social media, and for the Breathwork Music App, so you can relive the concert at home and breathe along in your own space whenever you need it. We handle recordings with great care. If you absolutely do not want to appear on camera, wear a fake moustache and sunglasses, or send me an email with a photo and your name and I will pass it on to the camera crew. :)

Final words:

We are incredibly excited. I would honestly love to sit among you one day and simply experience what it feels like to breathe as one with hundreds of people. To just enjoy it and dive deep inside myself. But I am deeply proud and grateful to be the one making this happen, and I enjoy that enormously too.
